Rep. John Payne presented a $5,000 mock check to Scott Stein, President/Lieutenant of the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. The funds awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development were used to purchase cribbing.

2011 Pierce Pumper Prior To Leaving Factory



 
Truck 48 was a 1994 Duplex/Saulsbury/Baker, it was completely refurbised in 2007 by Pierce. It has a 95' Aerialscope telescoping platform. It has a Harrison 15 KW generator with floodlights mounted on the body. A total of 158 feet of ground ladders is carried on this unit. There is a full line of truck equipment including a Hurst tool.1994 Duplex / Saulsbury / Baker

Engine 48-2 is a 1993 Spartan/Darley. It has a 2000 gpm Darley pump and a 750 gal. booster tank. There are two cross lays and two hose reels of 1 3/4 hose. There is a 10 KW Harrison generator. A 1000 gpm. stang deluge gun is mounted on top of the apparatus. The main hose bed carries 5 and 3 hose. A high pressure 200 foot hose reel with manifold is included. Lighting includes cab and body-mounted flood lights and a rear mounted light tower. Power is provided by a 30 KW Harrison generator. There is a winch mounted at the rear of the vehicle. The back interior of the rescue is a command post area with various radios, phones, computer and resource & technical information.
