Crews Respond To Hershey Medical Center’s University Physicians Center For Smoke In The Structure

UPDATE: An overheated part in the HVAC system at Penn State Hershey Medical Center's University Physicians Center caused smoke to fill part of the outpatient clinic Friday afternoon, said spokeswoman Megan Manlove.
 
There was no fire.
 
Between 80 and 85 patients and staff were moved to another building because of the scare.
 
ORIGINALLY: A small fire Friday afternoon caused doctors to evacuate an outpatient clinic at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
 
Crews are still searching for what caused the fire inside the University Physicians Center, said spokeswoman Megan Manlove.
 
No one was injured in the fire.
 
If patients have appointments scheduled for this afternoon, they should call their doctor before heading to the center, Manlove said.
